I've been waiting for months for the leveling mat to be restocked. Unfortunately, now that it's available, the price has increased by $15, with an additional $15 for shipping. At $80 total, it's quite a bit more than expected. Hard to stick with deep sleep after this.
Hi 'E'. We appreciate your feedback, but regret that you didn't reach out to us first so we could have the opportunity to offer you some sort of return customer loyalty discount to continue a 5 star experience. To explain the increase because others may be wondering:
1) We've done our best to not raise our prices like other competitors have since 2021 despite covid, in an effort to keep a quality product most affordable for our customers as long as possible.
2) Tarrifs hit U.S small businesses like us very bad this year, and it's increasingly expensive to import quality materials to produce quality gear that can't currently be sourced here in the U.S. (we've tried).
We unfortunately had an obligation to finally raise prices due to actual cost of shipping rises, new material costs, and to keep paying our hard working team livable wages they deserve.
As far as we know, we're the 1st and only company that designed/made this specific peice to be a more affordable option than the average platforms or installs available to fill that cargo drop. We sincerely hope you find the right solution within your budget, and what works for your adventures! Thanks for choosing us in the past!
I bought 2. They do not self inflate as advertised. They require a pump, just like the cheaper options.
Hi Phil, thanks for choosing deepsleep! Looks like you ordered very recently and probably used them for the first time when it is completely normal for them to take a longer time to inflate right out of the brand new factory roll... but it is a self-inflate product as advertised. These type of products with continued use, self-inflate faster once the internal foam has filled and activated for the 1st or 2nd time. The mat can be rolled from top towards bottom to help push air through it faster...Additionally, the instructions mention that the pump included with purchase can be used to add extra air after it self-inflates the for desired firmness. Hopefully, you were happy with the intended comfort, or you can contact us to return them.
The mattress is awesome…. 4.5. Would have rated it a perfect 5, but the air pump brought it down 1/2 star. It’s cheap and slow. It needs to be 3 times as fast. Maybe they can make a good one in America and dump the cheap Chinese model. I’d pay more. I’m actually looking around for a quality replacement as we speak
We got full cargo coverage with leveling mats for my 4Runner. Yes they are expensive but fit perfectly and offer great comfort. I’m done sleeping on the ground. Don’t forget to crack a window though for good ventilation even if cold outside!
I bought this about a month or so ago. Finally got the chance to try it out. I just got back from a 3 night camping trip and using this mattress in the back of my Jeep. Well worth it! Set up was very easy and quick. A queen size fitted sheet fits just fine as well. It was just me sleeping on it and I didn’t have to top off the air once during the 3 nights of use. I also took a nap on it on day 2. If I would have stayed a 4th night, I may of had to add more air. I am impressed. Deflating and packing up was fairly quick and easy as well. I love the storage bag that comes with it too. I can’t wait to use it again.
